This organization is open to all married and single women of the parish 18 years and older. The CM/G strives to provide their members with programs and opportunities for spiritual growth and social activities. Some of their ministries include: helping to organize funeral luncheons, sending cards to the sick, and running the prayer chain. They meet every third Wednesday of the month, at 5:30pm. The meeting locations rotate between the six church halls. Here is the 2020-2021 schedule:
September 21 - St. Columbkille
October 19 - St. Michael
November 16 - Our Lady of Lourdes
December 10 - Christmas Party at Our Lady of Lourdes (time TBD)
March 15 - St. Alphonsus
April 19 - St. Ann
May 17 - St. Patrick
Our local Ladies of Charity of St. Isidore the Farmer Parish (which is part of the diocesan and national association) follow the Vincentian spirit of St. Vincent de Paul, St Louise de Marillac, and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton by serving the poor, needy, sick, elderly, and youth with humility, simplicity, and charity.
We are involved with a variety of ministries: call parishioners/send cards, mail/deliver Christmas/Easter gifts, visit a nursing home, assist in All Souls’ Day Mass and host a reception, assist the funeral ministry, pray for our unclaimed dead, contribute to the Emergency Trust Fund, assist with parish activities (phone calling, senior luncheon, parish picnic, etc.), and assess the needs of the parish and community.
We welcome new members to serve with us. Our meetings are the last Tuesday of the month at 1:00 pm at St.Columbkille Church Hall. We do not meet in July and August.
