Living in a marriage that is missing love can be painful and miserable. If you have given up hope that your marriage can and will get better, ask your spouse to consider attending a Retrouvaille program. Retrouvaille is an international Christian-based ministry that offers a program to help couples improve their marriages and rediscover the love they once shared, no matter how bad it may be, even for separated and divorced couples. It is an eight-week program that begins with an in-person weekend retreat. The initial weekend is followed by seven weekly four-hour virtual follow-up sessions. An optional, ongoing monthly meeting is offered to couples for support and growth. It is not counseling or group therapy, and you will not share your struggles with others. If someone you love is having same sex attraction, you are not alone. Spiritual encouragement, practical advice and support are available. Courage, an Apostolate of the Roman Catholic Church, ministers to those with same-sex attraction and their loved ones. EnCourage, is part of that Apostolate and includes an outreach to parents, siblings or friends of those with same-sex attraction. Discussion, prayer, emotional support, understanding and fellowship are the central focuses of monthly meetings. It also promotes reception of the Sacraments and spiritual direction within a circle of compassion and confidentiality.
