We are in need of ushers for the 10am Mass at St. Columbkille. We could also appreciate people to volunteer to be Altar Servers, Lectors, and Extra-Ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion at any of our ten weekend Masses. The Hyde Amendment, passed in 1976, prohibits federal funding of domestic abortions. Some powerful members of Congress are trying to repeal the Hyde Amendment to force taxpayer dollars to pay for abortions. The Diocesan records list 1942-2006 for the dates of Our Lady of Lourdes School. We thank everyone that was part of the beautiful 64 years of Catholic Education in Burgettstown. It was painful for the school to close, but are forever grateful to everyone who was part of the school. As you may have noticed, the Finance Council is working to fix the many issues with the building. We have found many trophies during this process. We invite all to an Open House on Saturday, August 7 from 8:00 am –12:00 noon. The Open House serves two purposes: 1) See the work done on the inside and outside of the building. 2) Take a trophy or two. It is a chance to have some history in your home! Please come and visit to reminisce and see all the improvements!
